Exhibition Proposals

Proposals for the Lawndale Pop-Up Spot August 2025 exhibition are now open. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 21 at 11:59 pm CDT.

The winning proposal will be awarded a stipend of $2,000, plus $500 for assistance with materials and installation/deinstallation costs.

Applicants will be notified in early June and the exhibition will open on Friday, August 1.

What is your connection to North Lawndale / the West Side of Chicago?

This opportunity is open to West Side artists, creatives, and curators, with preference given to North Lawndale residents.

Call for Judges

Be part of the team helping to select this exhibition! Please send an email to lawndalepopupspot@gmail.com with the subject line APPLICATION FOR JUDGING PANEL, and include why you would like to participate in this process. Please note your connection to North Lawndale and/or the West Side of Chicago - note that preference will be given to North Lawndale residents.

The judging panel will consist of two virtual meetings on weekday evenings toward the end of May. Participants will receive a small stipend for their work.
